Description
Munster LCGN (Lesbian & Gay Community News) was a four page supplement to the Irish GCN (Gay Community News) newspaper. It was produced in The Other Place LGBT Resource Centre in Cork in the 1990s. It was a Wrap Around, placed on the outside, of GCN in Munster and was an insert in the newspaper in the rest of the country.
The June 1993 LGCN issue contains articles about: Cork Women's Fun Weekend, Church welcomes Limerick gays; Limerick lesbian Joan told her story on Easter Sunday, Waterford assembly - blazing a trail in the south east, Saturday nite in Sodom...(or a beginner's guide to the exotic nightlife of the local.), LGCN open meeting, Croatian refugee tells of torture, 15 year old student presses lord mayor for commitment to law reform, lesbian avenger flies into Cork, Limerick forum, Limerick lines, Lesbian and gay film festival '93, All new youth group, Horoscope column.
