Description
Newspaper article by Áilín Quinlan (Education Correspondent) from page 7 of Cork Examiner, dated Thursday, 12 February, 1992 and entitled "Condoms in college slot machines on Valentine's Day". Mentions 'Condom Sense', a campaign for wider availability of condoms, organised by the Association for the Promotion of Sexual Health. Discusses the installation of two condom vending machines in the ladies' and gents' toilets of Cork Regional Technical College and more in the back toilets of UCC's students' Union. References RTC Vice President Vincent Cronin who "said the union did not want to be 'controversial', but was anxious to 'press home' the link between condoms and health." Notes the difficulties in unions selling contraceptives because of the "favouritism" in the Southern Health Board. Other articles on same page are unrelated.
