Ireland AM Interviews

Orla Egan, Cork LGBT Archive, appeared on Ireland AM Virgin Media television programme in June 2022 and again in June 2023. In June 2022 the Cork LGBT Archive exhibition was on display in the UCC quadrangle and Orla Egan was interviewed by Alan Hughes about Cork LGBT history and the work of the Cork LGBT Archive. Diarmuid Scully was also interviewed about his UCC course on LGBT history, in which his students use materials from the Cork LGBT Archive. In June 2023 Orla Egan was interviewed alongside Ruadhán Ó Críodáin of ShoutOut. Orla talked about what it was like for the LGBT community prior to decriminalisation in 1993 and the importance of recording and sharing our history.
