LINC (Lesbians in Cork)
LINC (Lesbians in Cork) provides services and supports for lesbian, bisexual and transgender women in Cork.
Originally called Cairde Corcai, Cork's first lesbian centre opened at No. 14 George's Quay in 1999. It moved to Princes Street in 2000 and changed it's name to LINC.
LINC moved to White's Street in 2002.
Searching For Space (Orla Egan) provides an overview of the history of the lesbian community in Cork and the path towards the opening of a lesbian centre in Cork.
LINC proides a range of activities and groups for the LBT community, runs awareness training and engages with a wide range of community and statutory agencies in Cork.
A series of LINC newsletters were produced and are included in the Cork LGBT Archive.
